CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE JOBS DESCRIPTION

This role provides call center support for an electric transmission and distribution company.

New employees are required to successfully complete four weeks of initial training. During the training period, hours will typically be Mon – Fri, 8 AM – 5 PM (40 hrs/wk). Following the training period, employees will be scheduled in a part-time capacity.

Employees must be able to work a rotating shift schedule, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Because we provide call center support for an electric utility provider, during periods of severe weather or high call volume employees may be required to work extended shifts.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Respond to retailer and consumer inquiries in a prompt, professional and courteous manner
- Analyze and process outage notifications
- Initiate service orders for end-use consumers and third parties, (eg. builders and contractors)
- Respond to energy efficiency inquiries
- Initiate outage and emergency investigation orders for end-use consumers and third parties
- Assist retailers with billing inquiries
- Work closely with operating centers and field services
- Establish premise information for new locations
- Post city inspections
- Achieve and maintain required metrics and quality requirements established for the position
- Perform correspondence duties as necessary

Minimum Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and electronic communication skills.
- Good keyboarding and business computer skills.
- Extensive customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to multi task by using various systems during call processing.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

- Ability to speak Spanish fluently.
- 1+ years working in a call center.
- 2+ years working in customer service role.
