Responsible for downloading and processing cash receipts (manually and electronically), contractual adjustments, and insurance denials, in an accurate and timely manner. Up to and including complete reconciliation to the related bank deposits; Upon completion of the payment and adjustment process, ensure that all pertinent related aspects of the respective patient accounts are analyzed and correct. Serve the department and Novant Health as a diverse team player; provide effective communication to co-workers and management at all times; and fulfill all assigned responsibilities to achieve departmental and CBO goals.

High School diploma or equivalent. One to two years previous experience in business office setting with accounting concentration preferred. Knowledge, skills and abilities required. Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing. Must have excellent customer service skills.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities

*Greets, directs and waits on customers

*Answers phone calls in a professional and courteous manner

*Counts down the cash register drawer

*Offers all company approved add-ons to sales

*Down-stocks, faces and fronts all merchandise in their assigned areas according to merchandising standards

*Protects the store against theft or other suspicious activity

We’re Looking For

*18 years or older

*HS education

*At least 6 months related retail experience

*Knowledge of light industrial products, hydraulics, etc

*Ability to communicate effectively with customers

*Ability to work accurately with numbers

*Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
