Major Tasks & Responsibilities

*Greets, directs and waits on customers

*Answers phone calls in a professional and courteous manner

*Counts down the cash register drawer

*Offers all company approved add-ons to sales

*Down-stocks, faces and fronts all merchandise in their assigned areas according to merchandising standards

*Protects the store against theft or other suspicious activity

We’re Looking For

*18 years or older

*HS education

POWERHOUSE SUPERVISOR JOBS DESCRIPTION

UGL Unicco is a facilities services company with headquarters in Auburndale, MA.? UGL Unicco has over 18,000 employees in the US and Canada, with revenues of $800 million. UGL Unicco’s Plant Services Division provides a broad range of services to industrial and manufacturing clients.

We are currently looking for a Powerhouse Supervisor at our industrial operation located in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The Powerhouse Supervisor supervises all aspects of electronic and pneumatic controls, high pressure heating/cooling systems, process water, hot and chilled water, water chemistry and conditioning, steam, jet fuel, electrical generation and/or distribution from the site’s Power House. The Powerhouse provides the required flow of steam for heating and cooling of plant buildings and facilities on a continuous 24/7/365 operation.

The Supervisor is responsible for scheduling and assigning daily and weekly work activities for boiler stationary engineers to ensure continuous Power House operations and supervises boiler firemen during various shifts to assure compliance with operations and maintenance standards. Supervises UAW Powerhouse technicians in trouble shooting and repairing these systems.

Responsible for the supervision of facilities skilled trade employees by determining workloads and schedules, managing construction projects, equipment installations, equipment upgrades and facilities maintenance activities.

Responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing company and UAW policies and procedures; evaluates employee conduct and makes disciplinary recommendations to Labor Relations.

Monitors and participates in operations including inspecting projects, developing and implementing modifications and improvements, recommending specifications and scheduling for contracts, and inspecting contractor performance. Coordinates activities with programs and departments, including scheduling and resolving problems; coordinates and inspects work performed by contractors.

The Powerhouse Supervisor position is a night shift position. Hours are 7pm to 7am on a rotating schedule.(3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, etc.)

Education

A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.) and additional courses in arithmetic, mechanics, and electricity obtained through completion of a technical training program or an apprenticeship is required. College-level course work enabling incumbent to obtain job-related licenses or certificates is desirable.

Experience

At least five years of skilled or semi-skilled maintenance experience which must have included one year of lead/?supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in both electronic and pneumatic controls, operational knowledge of principles and methods involved in high pressure heating/cooling systems, process water, hot and chilled water, water chemistry and conditioning, steam, jet fuel, electrical generation and/or distribution are required. Capable of supervising subordinates in correcting breakdowns and service failures in emergency situations in a timely fashion.

Experience working and supervising in a union environment preferred.
